Don Ross
Art Studio
Chamber of Commerce Event
Wow!  What an event.  Don is greatly humbled that he was
honored during the 65th Annual Chamber of Commerce
Awards Banquet.
Manley Art Center
Don was invited to the Manley Art Center and Gallery in
Brookings, OR, March 12th through 14th.  What a heart
warming event it was.

A luncheon, two demo's, kids class, and two adult classes
were taught!  How special is that? And what a fun group.
Thank you to all who attended.

The 12th started with a general meeting, luncheon and
then a demo.  At three o'clock, a kids class of twelve
completed an ocean scene on a 11"x14" canvas using oils.

On the 13th  an adult class started at 9:00am and was
completed at 1:00pm. The project: a mono-chromatic
painting of a mountain and lake.  At 2:00pm a second
class created the same painting.  All 20 students did a
superb job.

Don donated three paintings to the art gallery as a fund
raiser and one painting was given to a very special couple
sitting up front during a demo.  Don said: "Its amazing
what a tear drop will do to my heart when I receive the
kind of appreciation they gave me.  I hope this couple
enjoys the painting for years to come."

Don had several students mention that they couldn't
remember when they had so much fun painting.  To me
thats what  the "Love of Painting" is all about..
I look forward to painting with the Manley art Center
again real soon.  Happy Painting from Don Ross...

Creative Painting Convention in Las Vegas

What an awesome event!  Students were great.
Everyone did a wonderful job and most of all we had a
phenomenal time sharing the love for painting together.

Mary is shown with her painting "Simply Elegant".  As
you can see from the photo, it turned out very nice.
This was a four hour class.  Don hopes to see all
students back again next year.

A second project completed at the convention was
"Don's Mountain". Again, we experienced a full class of
talented students.  Don received lots of e-mails by the
time he arrived back home in Sweet Home.   He also
received a nice and complementary hand written note at
the show.
A Special Event was held at Enumclaw, Washington on
November 8th.  This fun painting class was organized
by Kim.

Kim met Don at the Oregon Jamboree in Sweet Home,
OR last August. She came by Don's booth and
completed a painting titled: "Winter Wonderland" which
was an attractive combination of Acrylic and Oils.

Inspired by how well her painting turned out, Kim
organized a Special Event in Enumclaw.

During a wonderful four hour class an enthusiastic group
of students completed paintings, which were framed and
everyone left with their master piece.

Don looks forward to painting with these fine folks again
in the near future.

Oregon Jamboree
Sweet Home - Oregon Jamboree - a visitor from Brittaney, CA

Having watched Don teach at the Oregon Country Jamboree for two years now, I
finally got into one of his classes this August.

I have never been so terrified and had so much fun at the same time.  Don
immediately eased my fears of hurting my canvas and artwork with his easy sense
ability.  Don's encouragement and straight forward methods of teaching were the
foundation of my success.

If you ever want to try painting in an environment right with enthusiasm and joy
for painting ... Don is the teacher for you.  I fully intend to visit Don for other
lessons in the hope of creating something special for my 9th wedding anniversary.

Thank You Don!!!
Sweet Home

this event, which was held the day before
Father's Day.
Don completed a

Oregon USA pageant...

which was successfully
auctioned off
